The end of an era, PGD shuts down

When I joined Unicity as a franchise owner in late 2009, a conversation with T Gray led me to start developing marketing tools for Unicity franchise owners. Starting with business cards and expanding to banners and posters.

Shortly afterwards PGD, still new, ran into problems with their website developer. T Gray gave me a call asking if I could help and I replicated the site to a T giving PGD full control of their own website and welcoming me into the PGD family.
Over the years all of those presentation videos were edited by myself, all of those graphics were designed by myself, all of those dvd's were created and produced by myself, and all of those websites were yes you guessed it made by me. I've spent many late nights and long hours working on projects for Unicity franchise owners who've used the PGD System. It's been a labor of love bringing the ideas of Jim Fobair and T Gray to life, making every presentation better then the previous. I've learned a lot over the years working closely with two great leaders, both Jim and T believed in me every time a deadline arrived.

And so, to help alleviate the frustration of Unicity franchise owners confused on which training "team" they should commit to, members from all of the top north american training teams got together and, with the urging from Unicity corporate, became one. Deciding to move forward with the newly created Do X Get Y system. We wish everyone the best and support their vision of unity.

Not to worry, we'll still be here bringing you the absolute best in marketing materials. Expect a lot more new products and although PGD is now part of the past, we will always remember it as the beginning.

Thank you
- David

VW's 'Eat The Road' Print Ad is Actually Edible

8/1/2014

Volkswagen is all about the unusual print ads lately. In Norway, the automaker recently offered test drives right inside a print ad. Now, VW South Africa has cooked up a lovely little ad you can eat—and placed it in Auto Trader magazine. "Eat the Road," reads the copy. "Seriously, eat it." The ingredients are listed on the side as "glutinous rice flour, water, salt, propylene glycol, FD&C colour, glycerine." It's not really clear if those ingredients form the coating for the road that appears in the ad, or what. Are you supposed to wolf down the whole thing, paper and all? A little research into propylene glycol isn't very encouraging—in the U.S., the EPA warns factory workers to avoid skin contact with PG to prevent brain, liver, and kidney abnormalities! I'll stick to reading the thing.
